Dalilea Croft is a traditional single storey cottage integrated with an architect designed extension featuring a glass end elevation.
The property provides spectacular loch views and is surrounded by its own established garden, which is well-fenced and bounded on one side by a small burn. The house and garden are completely secluded, no other house is visible, with views of Beinn Resipol to the south and Loch Shiel, a short walk across permanent pasture, to the west.
The Moidart area is truly a hidden gem, bursting with wildlife and history, ready for you to explore, at any time of the year. We look forward to welcoming you here.

“Peace and quiet. We got fantastic weather for our second stay at Dalilea Croft. We love this place and the surrounding area. The sunsets on the loch have been amazing and the dogs love it too. Lots of walks and deserted beaches. The cottage is so cosy with everything you need and the garden is secure for the dogs and with the loch at the bottom of the field, they were in heaven. I’m sure we will return even though it’s the only place we have been more than once, ever!”
Lynn Boothe and family
“We can’t wait to come back again. This was our fourth visit to Dalilea and as ever it didn’t disappoint, it’s a trip and destination we look forward to all year. We both love the outdoors and wildlife spotting and this area has the latter in abundance and the croft is the perfect base.”
Andrew Wright and family
“A great location for exploring this diverse area. This is a great cottage with a lovely mix of the traditional and the new, with good kitchen facilities providing everything you need for cooking. The sitting room was a lovely space for relaxing in the evening, watching the changing weather and the peace and tranquility of the location.”
Craig Donaldson
“The perfect combination of old and new. This is a lovely cottage which perfectly combines old and new, snug and light, comfort and practicality. We loved the choice of materials, fabrics and muted colours. Highlights of our stay were the white sandy beaches at Portruick and Sanna, the magical setting of Castle Tioram and the ancient Oakwood and riverside at Ariundle.”
Alison Fabian and family
“Our October break. We had a great time in this lovely warm Highlands croft. Having two log burners and other heating meant that we could always be warm and cosy.”
Claire Bower
“Outstanding property and location. This is a peaceful and quiet location for winding down and relaxing in a beautiful clean, cosy, comfortable cottage. We were blessed with sunshine for the week to enjoy the stunning views from the croft and we had plenty to do in the Moidart area. This is a much loved and looked after property by the owner, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back again, thanks for a wonderful holiday.”

“The perfect getaway destination. In the most beautiful setting, with Beinn Resipol rising from above Loch Shiel, and eagles soaring overhead, Dalilea is the perfect getaway destination. It is a place of real peace and calm, exemplified by the comfort of the main living space and the views extending from it. Outstanding.”

Yes we are definitely pet friendly and love dogs but they must be well-behaved because our garden is surrounded by stocked fields. Our expectation is that you pick up all dog mess in the garden during your stay and your pets are never allowed on our furniture including the beds.

There is space for two cars in the lay-by opposite the cottage on the road but please note the gate by the cattle grid is regularly used by the farmer when moving cattle and sheep. As a result your car could get damaged. For this reason we recommend parking inside the cottage gate on the gravel area.
Everything you need to know is detailed in the arrival welcome folder as are all departure instructions.
Our wifi is provided by a community service and connection can be intermittent and will not be as fast or reliable as the service you enjoy at home. Typical wifi speed is 25+ Mbps. Please do not rely on it for work. If the wifi goes off for any reason, please be patient and the signal will return. Please do not contact the owners about service interruptions as we will not be able to assist you.
We supply board games and have a TV at the cottage. Fort William has a cinema and swimming pool.
There are small and quiet sea beaches eight miles away at Ardtoe and Glenuig and bigger and busier beaches at Arisaig and Morar. We have a small fresh-water beach five minutes walk from the cottage.
